Trafford Leisure Centres & The Grammar have temporarily closed from 9pm 20th March 2020

With sadness in our hearts, we as Trafford Leisure have closed all of our centres and outdoor facilities from the close of business Friday 20th March 2020 until it is advisable by the Government to reopen again.

Like many of you, the COVID-19 pandemic finds us in uncharted territory. The upset, the confusion and the worry this virus has brought to our community is palpable.  I feel directly responsible for our customers and staff and would hope you understand the decisions I made regarding memberships and the financial implications for both yourself and for Trafford Leisure.

I have relaxed our terms and conditions, allowing you the option to freeze and put on hold your direct debits. Your membership package and price are protected until we reopen.  Alternatively, if you wish to cancel your membership in its entirety, then this is also fine. Freezing or cancelling your membership is not automatic, and if you wish to do either, the easiest way is online. Please follow the link and complete the form here.

I know that despite our best efforts there may be the odd payment that is still taken on the 8th April 2020, even though as a customer you may have sent us a freeze request or cancellation. Please bear with us, we will rectify this and a refund for the full amount will be actioned.

In order to keep my staff safe they are working remotely and in isolation at their own homes. They are working flat out to process your membership requests as quickly as possible.  My team is dedicated to supporting you and the choices you make.

Please be patient with my team – they are overwhelmed with enquiries and requests and are doing their very best. Their priority is to look after our most elderly and vulnerable customers and I am making sure that anyone falling into this category receives a personal phone call to talk through their membership options and offer any additional help or support.

Trafford Leisure is a non-profit distributing organisation, wholly owned by Trafford Council, which uses any profits and assets for public benefit. If you are in a secure financial position and are able to continue your membership and direct debits during this crisis, you will be helping me to continue to pay our staff and also to help pay our local suppliers during this unstable time.  This exceptional gift is appreciated and I have been touched with your support for this.

We are working as quickly as possible to contact everyone who has contacted us. So, for now, we are asking you to hold off calling us if you can and e-mail our remote team on customerhub@traffordleisure.co.uk. We really appreciate your patience.

In the event you need to speak to a member of the team, please contact us on
0161 749 2570, Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm.

Please continue to check our website for updates. My thoughts and best wishes are with you all and I remain grateful and humbled by our strong community.
